The recent popularity of Kootenai County has inspired neighborhoods to become involved in their planning process.  Attending meetings, hearings, and seminars, individuals are working to improve their knowledge of our existing resources, and what can be done to minimize exploitation of those resources, while maintaining the strength and stability of our economy.  The United Citizens for Responsible Growth (UCRG) is a conduit for communication between parties interested in responsible development for the future of Kootenai County.  UCRG encourages healthy development that has an environmental focus, works to have a positive neighborhood impact and is respectful of the goals and values of neighboring communities.  UCRG's mission is to be an organization engaging in constructive and collaborative effort to foster planned growth and development that is responsible to the citizens, environment and lifestyle of Kootenai County.
