Residents for Hayden Lake (RfHL) was originally created as a protest group to the proposed expansion of Camp Mivoden in 2003.  That proposal was denied by the Hearing Examiner, the Board of County Commissioners and by the court on appeal.

RfHL attracted support from residents all around Hayden Lake.   It was concluded that there was a need for a Hayden Lake property owners’ association.   Bylaws were written and officers were elected for that purpose.  Most members are lakeshore property owners but people living near the lake are eligible to be members also.  Annual meetings are held in July at the Hayden Lake Country Club.   Dues are $25 per year.   Most of the income is spent in support of efforts to protect and preserve the quality of the lake and the environment around the lake.  RfHL works in cooperation with the Hayden Lake Watershed Association and the Hayden Lake Recreational Water and Sewer District, each of which have somewhat different but similar objectives.

Copies of the bylaws are available as well as the annual newsletter published in January.  For further information, write to P.O. Box 1377, Hayden, ID 83835 or e-mail cecilwh@marowitz.org.
